NVIDIA’s expansion into the automotive sector received significant momentum this Tuesday. Chinese automobile manufacturer Chery, which operates the premium EXEED brand, unveiled a comprehensive global partnership with NVIDIA at both Auto China 2026 and the EXEED International Business Summit held in Wuhu, Anhui Province, China.
At the moment of the partnership reveal, NVDA shares were trading higher by 0.61%.
This comprehensive agreement spans three strategic domains: advanced driver assistance technologies, artificial intelligence-powered cockpit environments, and robotics development. The scope is expansive, positioning EXEED among the pioneering brands to implement these technologies on a mass production scale.
For autonomous vehicle development, EXEED will construct its Level 3 and Level 4 self-driving automobiles using NVIDIA’s DRIVE Hyperion infrastructure. This comprehensive platform integrates the DRIVE AGX Thor processing system, a certified sensor configuration, and NVIDIA’s self-driving software suite into one production-ready solution.
Additionally, EXEED plans to leverage NVIDIA Alpamayo and NVIDIA Cosmos development tools to create its proprietary autonomous driving software architecture. According to company statements, this strategy enables a hybrid methodology — combining internal development capabilities with collaborative innovation.
Intelligent Cockpit Systems Powered by Generative AI
For the vehicle interior environment, EXEED intends to deploy NVIDIA DRIVE technology to create what the company characterizes as advanced-generation cockpit environments. The emphasis centers on generative AI features: intuitive emotional engagement, situational understanding, and customized user services.
While this represents a common theme among electric vehicle manufacturers currently, EXEED distinguishes itself by implementing NVIDIA’s established infrastructure instead of developing proprietary systems independently.
Expanding Beyond Automotive Into Robotics
This strategic collaboration extends well beyond traditional vehicles. Operating through its EXEED×AiMOGA division, the organization will utilize NVIDIA Jetson, Isaac Sim, and the Isaac GR00T humanoid robot development framework to advance embodied intelligence initiatives — encompassing humanoid robotics and additional intelligent robotic platforms.
Rishi Dhall, Vice President of NVIDIA’s Automotive Division, commented that Chery is “accelerating the widespread adoption of intelligent vehicles” and emphasized that this collaboration will extend into robotics, describing it as “the next frontier of physical AI.”
Chery positioned this agreement as fundamental to its comprehensive AI transformation strategy, referencing objectives outlined during its 2026 AI Night presentation. EXEED has been designated as the flagship brand driving this initiative, assuming the pioneering role for Chery’s intelligent technology deployment.
NVIDIA’s automotive sector has been consistently expanding its partner network throughout international markets. The DRIVE Hyperion platform has emerged as a preferred reference design for automotive manufacturers pursuing advanced vehicle automation capabilities.
Shares of NVDA registered a 0.61% increase on the trading day when this strategic partnership was publicly announced.
