Bitget has integrated US stock options trading capabilities into its Stock+ service, enabling qualified participants to execute options trades while accessing cryptocurrency, tokenized equities, foreign exchange, and additional financial instruments through a single interface.
Stock+ Platform Enhancements
The cryptocurrency exchange rolled out long call and long put positions as its initial option products. Long call options enable market participants to speculate on upward price movements in underlying stocks. Long put options provide opportunities to capitalize on price declines or protect existing equity positions from downside risk.
Purchasers face maximum losses limited to the premium amount paid upfront for each options contract. Nevertheless, contracts may lose all value upon expiration if market movements fail to align with anticipated price direction.
Before this enhancement, Bitget’s Stock+ service already featured tokenized stock products and pre-initial public offering access. The options component expands tactical opportunities for traders navigating corporate earnings releases and periods of heightened market volatility.
Bitget’s chief executive Gracy Chen characterized the launch as part of an expansive strategic initiative. “From tokenized stocks to now options, we are executing on convergence,” Chen stated. “Our products are way ahead of its time in providing advanced trading access to stocks, gold, crypto, and worldwide assets.”
American Options Market Expansion
This development arrives following a banner year for options activity. The US options marketplace processed in excess of 15.2 billion contracts during 2025, maintaining an average of approximately 60 million contracts traded daily.
This expansion has been propelled by retail investors and institutional participants alike utilizing options for speculative purposes, risk management, and comprehensive portfolio strategies.
Bitget isn’t alone among crypto platforms pursuing this trajectory. Last June, Coinbase revealed intentions to broaden options trading across both equities and digital currencies, simultaneously introducing thematic equity index instruments and pre-IPO perpetual contract products.
Binance similarly incorporated over 7,000 US-listed stocks and exchange-traded funds for international users while detailing plans for tokenized equity offerings via its bStocks functionality.
Currently, Bitget’s options capabilities encompass single-leg strategies exclusively. The platform operator indicated that sophisticated multi-leg strategy combinations will arrive in subsequent updates.
As an introductory incentive, qualified participants completing their initial US stock options transaction may receive $15 in Nvidia equity, contingent upon supply availability.
The Stock+ platform now establishes Bitget among a select group of cryptocurrency exchanges delivering cryptocurrencies, tokenized stocks, options contracts, foreign exchange, indices, commodities, and contracts for difference within a consolidated trading environment.
