The Comcast-owned studio rolled out the animated feature across over 4,000 North American venues. Each location averaged $30,795 in revenue — an impressive figure considering the prevalence of discounted children’s admission prices.
During the Easter holiday three-day period, domestic theaters generated $130.9 million. Comscore projections indicate the five-day domestic opening window will reach approximately $190.1 million.
Overseas markets contributed an additional $182.4 million, propelling the worldwide debut far beyond other 2026 theatrical releases.
Roth’s analyst Eric Handler projected opening-period earnings between $160 million and $200 million for the Wednesday-to-Sunday timeframe, emphasizing Mario’s recognition as a premier gaming property with more than 430 million units sold globally.
