The Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer reported delivering 35,486 vehicles throughout March 2026, marking a substantial 136% year-over-year growth compared to the same month in 2025.
These delivery figures encompass three distinct brands operating under the NIO’s corporate structure. The primary NIO brand represented 22,490 of these deliveries. The family-focused ONVO brand added 6,877 vehicles, while FIREFLY, the company’s compact premium offering, contributed 6,119 units.
Looking at the complete first quarter of 2026, NIO achieved total deliveries of 83,465 vehicles, representing a 98.3% increase over the comparable period in 2025 — effectively doubling its year-ago performance.
As of March 31, 2026, the automaker’s all-time cumulative deliveries reached 1,081,057 vehicles, crossing the significant one million delivery threshold during this quarter.
The Shanghai-based company released these delivery statistics on April 1, 2026.
Redesigned ES8 Achieves 80,000 Units in Record Time
Among the notable achievements highlighted in the announcement: NIO’s All-New ES8 model hit its 80,000th delivery on March 20, 2026 — accomplishing this feat in merely 181 days following its market introduction.
This model maintained its leadership position as the number one vehicle in China’s large SUV category for three straight months, competing against all powertrains and price segments. Dominating this category represents a significant achievement within China’s fiercely competitive electric vehicle landscape.
The automaker attributed the ES8’s success to its distinctive product features and consistent consumer interest.
Meanwhile, the ONVO brand, designed for family buyers, continues expanding its market presence since its recent launch. FIREFLY, positioned as the company’s compact luxury EV offering, delivered more than 6,000 vehicles during its initial months of full-scale production.
First Quarter Results Signal Accelerated Growth Trajectory
The Q1 delivery figure of 83,465 vehicles represents a significant advancement compared to previous quarterly results. The almost 100% year-over-year volume increase positions NIO considerably ahead of its early 2025 performance.
The automaker currently manages three separate vehicle brands, each targeting distinct customer demographics — a multi-brand approach that shows positive momentum based on the March delivery data.
NIO’s lifetime delivery count now exceeds 1.08 million vehicles since the company began operations.
The stock’s strong Wednesday performance reflected investor enthusiasm regarding the better-than-expected delivery results, with shares climbing more than 9% following the news release.
