Constructed from hypoallergenic titanium, the device maintains the appearance of a conventional ring. According to Oura, the reimagined sensor configuration incorporates enhanced LED technology and 12 reinforced signal channels, delivering improved accuracy across diverse skin tones and finger sizes.
Pre-orders launched immediately, with deliveries commencing June 4. Standard finishes including silver and black retail at $399, while premium options such as gold and brushed silver command $499.
Expanded Health Monitoring Capabilities
The Ring 5 introduces multiple advanced health tracking functions, with most features compatible with third and fourth generation Oura Ring devices.

The enhanced Health Radar system continuously analyzes biometric indicators including body temperature and breathing rate. The platform now incorporates sleep-phase blood pressure pattern analysis, which Oura indicates can identify preliminary indicators of cardiovascular concerns.
A newly developed Nighttime Breathing tool examines sleep respiration data over rolling 30-day intervals. The system identifies irregularities and may recommend professional medical consultation when warranted.
Oura has introduced GLP-1 Insights specifically for individuals using weight management pharmaceuticals. This feature enables medication schedule logging, side effect documentation, and weight progression tracking integrated with the ring’s biometric information.
Exercise Monitoring and Medical Support Integration
Real-time activity monitoring has been integrated directly into the Oura application. Users can initiate workout sessions and view live performance metrics including pace, distance traveled, and cardiac rate via lock screen widgets. The system also supports external heart rate monitoring devices.
Through a partnership with digital healthcare provider Counsel Health, Oura now delivers AI-assisted medical consultation within the app. Users can pose health queries, receive customized recommendations, and access licensed medical professionals. The service launches in 43 states nationwide, operating on a per-consultation fee structure.
A newly introduced Health Records function allows users to consolidate diagnosed conditions, prescriptions, and laboratory findings within the application, establishing a comprehensive health profile for chronic condition management.
The Ring 5 delivers seven days of continuous battery operation. An optional portable charging case crafted from anodized aluminum retails at $99 and provides approximately one month of charging capacity.
Expansion Metrics and Public Offering Plans
Oura projects it will exceed five million paying subscribers during the current quarter, representing a quadrupling of its member base over two years. The company documented a 4x revenue increase throughout the identical timeframe.
This past October, Oura secured $900 million through Series E fundraising, establishing an $11 billion valuation. Cumulative funding has surpassed $1.5 billion.
Last week, the company confidentially submitted draft IPO documentation to the Securities and Exchange Commission. No specific timeline for the public offering has been disclosed.
CEO Tom Hale projected last year that the company could reach approximately $2 billion in revenue by 2026. Ring 5 membership is priced at $5.99 monthly or $69.99 annually and qualifies for FSA and HSA reimbursement.
