Take-Two Interactive (TTWO) posted fourth-quarter results that exceeded Wall Street forecasts, sending shares higher by 5% in early Friday trading to open at $238.08.

The gaming publisher reported a quarterly net loss of $59.5 million, translating to 32 cents per share. This figure outperformed analyst projections calling for a 57-cent deficit. Quarterly net bookings reached $1.58 billion, exceeding the Street’s $1.55 billion forecast.
CEO Strauss Zelnick expressed confidence in the results. “The quarter was outstanding. The entire fiscal year was outstanding,” he stated in comments to Barron’s.
Full-year fiscal 2026 revenue increased by 6% year-over-year. The company also issued fiscal 2027 EPS guidance ranging from $5.75 to $6.00, surpassing analyst forecasts — a positive indicator for future profitability.
However, certain guidance metrics fell below expectations. The company’s fiscal 2027 net bookings outlook of $8 billion to $8.2 billion significantly trailed Wall Street’s $9.13 billion consensus. Additionally, first-quarter fiscal 2027 projections came in below analyst estimates.
Zelnick responded to concerns about the guidance gap: “We have nothing to do with consensus. This is the first information that we’re providing to the Street.” He emphasized the company’s track record of exceeding its own internal forecasts.
GTA VI Release Date Officially Confirmed for November 19, 2026
The most anticipated announcement received official confirmation Thursday. Take-Two reaffirmed that GTA VI remains scheduled for a November 19, 2026 launch — the date that has captivated the gaming community.
The game’s development timeline has experienced several shifts. Initially targeted for a 2025 release, the project faced multiple postponements. Recent confusion arose when a Best Buy affiliate marketing email surfaced last week, seemingly indicating GTA VI pre-orders would run from May 18 through May 21. Those pre-orders never materialized.
Zelnick stated the company had “absolutely no idea” about the origin of that promotional email. Rockstar Games is preparing to launch its official GTA VI marketing campaign during the summer months.
